Inspired by a teahouse I stumbled upon on a day trip to San Francisco with my family.  As I stepped inside awaiting me was a wonderful visual experience. Everywhere I looked there were treasures waiting to be discovered. The colors were mesmerizing, the mixture of patterns delightful. Not only did I want to sit down and have tea I wanted to spend hours upon hours exploring all that was inside this special room.

 

Tea Cakes is a celebration of all that is playful and whimsical about teatime. The fresh color scheme was derived from such things as mismatched vintage china, milk glass cake plates, petit fours with fondant frosting, lemon curd and cucumber sandwiches. The vintage prints are brought to life when combined with these fresh colors. It is every little girls dream of playing tea party.  A fresh new take on something familiar. This line would be terrific in home décor, children’s & women’s clothing as well as quilting projects.
